This is Google

The website I chose was google. I chose this site because I use it almost everyday and it is really useful when looking for information. The useful information provided by google is EVERYTHING. It gives you news articles, images, and links to websites pertaining to the topic you searched for.

The site obtains this information through non-expert advice, through indegree centrality. The website that shows up first on the list is the one that has the most websites linked back to it. The website makes this information useful and not overwhelming by putting the most linked website, and therefore, in Google's opinion, the most relative, at the front so you don't need to sift through hundreds of websites.

A competing website is Yahoo Yahoo is superior to google because it's e-mail system is more widely used and although it's interface is more cluttered than google's, it provides the user with a wider variety of options.

Hmm, it looks like I'm not getting that much traffic. At least some people visited it though, but that may just be the graders.

EDIT actually, my visits and pageviews about doubled in the past two days. Weird.

For theyrule.net I just picked Dole food and McDonalds for the two companies.
I picked these companies because they both deal with food and I previously wrote a post on pizza.

Sometimes, you can have fries with pizza and McDonalds' fries are the best, if a bit oily. Oh well, hmmmm, fattening OIL!!! Dole is a healthy kind of food company. The best kind of fruit juice, except maybe JuicyJuice 100% juice. Yeah. Fruit is awesome.

I chose the attribution non-commercial no derivatives license.
I chose this because it seemed like a good license to have if you want to post artwork. Basically, it says that other people can download the work and share them but they can't alter the work or sell it. They can share the work as long as they credit back to me.
